Chanté Moore
(Chante Moore)
Chante Moore is an R&B singer who grew up in San Francisco. She was the daughter
of a minister and influenced by gospel music. Moore's soulful vocals were
spotted by producer Louil Silas and she signed to his label when she was 22
featuring on El DeBarge's single 'You Know What I Like' in 1992.
She released her debut album 'Precious' the same year. The album went gold,
helped by the hit singles 'Love's Taken Over' and 'It's Alright'. Her next
albums were 'A Love Supreme' (1994), 'This Moment Is Mine' (1999) and 'Exposed'
in 2000, featuring the hit single 'Straight Up'.
