Celina González was a Cuban singer and songwriter born in Cuba in 1929. Celina
González Zamora performed in the duo Celina & Reutilio, which released the hit
recordings “A Santa Bárbara” (1956) and “Yo soy el punto cubano”. Following the
Cuban Revolution, they performed as a soloist starting in 1964 and collaborated
with their son Lázaro. González received the Disco de Plata award for the album
Celina (1980) and the Vanguardia Nacional award in 1984. Their discography
includes the albums Yo soy el punto cubano (1982), La rica cosecha (1997), and
Desde la Habana te traigo (1998). ...
