Catherine Wong In, born on 4 April 1992 in Hong Kong, emerged from a background
that combined a university education in journalism with self‑taught guitar
skills and street‑performance experience. After winning the 2017 “Music Big Kid”
competition hosted by Emperor Entertainment Group, Catherine Wong In was signed
by Sony Music Entertainment Hong Kong and released her debut studio album 黃妍說 on
2 August 2019, which included the four‑language singles "How to Survive Summers"
