Christopher Ballew, born May 28, 1965, in Seattle, Washington, is an American
musician known for his versatile career. Inspired by the Beatles, Ballew began
performing as a street musician in Boston with Phil Franklin in a duo called
Egg. In the early 1990s, he moved to Los Angeles and played with Beck before
returning to Washington to form The Presidents of the United States of America
in 1993. The band released multiple albums and singles, including "Naked and
