October 1992. It is the flagship property of The Cartoon Network, Inc., owned by
the Global Linear Networks division of Warner Bros. Discovery, and primarily
broadcasts animated programming aimed at children aged 6 to 12, alongside the
adult-oriented evening block Adult Swim. The channel originated from Turner
Broadcasting System's 1991 acquisition of the Hanna-Barbera animation library,
