Carmen Linares
Carmen Linares is a Spanish flamenco singer born as Carmen Pacheco Rodríguez on
February 25, 1951, in Linares. Linares achieved professional recognition for a
musical career characterized by flamenco and world music and for being one of
the most complete cantaoras with knowledge of flamenco styles. She achieved
professional recognition for a career that began after she moved to Madrid in
1968 and trained under the musician Pepe Matrona, the musician Fosforito, and
