Carmen Delia Dipiní Piñero, was a Puerto Rican singer born on November 18, 1927,
in Naguabo. She made her radio debut in San Juan at 14 and moved to New York
City in 1948, winning a talent show at the Triboro Theater. This led to her
first recording "El Día Que Nací Yo" with Johnny Albino y El Trío San Juan.
Dipiní later recorded for Seeco Records and joined Johnny Rodríguez's band,
releasing notable songs such as "Fichas Negras," "Son Amores," and "Dímelo." She
