Carlene Davis, born circa 1953 in Clarendon Parish, Jamaica, is a singer known for her contributions to reggae and gospel music. At age fourteen, she moved to England with her parents and began performing professionally the following year. She initially gained fame as a reggae artist, recording her version of "Leaving on a Jet Plane" in Toronto and achieving local success with a cover of Jimmy Cliff's "The Harder They Come".
