Caprice
Caprice is a Russian neoclassical ensemble from Moscow that was formed in 1996
by composer and conductor Anton Brejestovski. The group's music combines
acoustic instruments such as harp, violin, and flute with electronic elements.
Caprice self-released its debut album Mirror in 1996. The ensemble was known for
its fantasy-inspired style as demonstrated in the albums Songs of Innocence and
Experience (2000) and Elvenmusic (2001, which drew on poetry by J.R.R. Tolkien,
William Blake, Robert Burns, and Percy Shelley. Later releases included Sister
Simplicity (2004), Kywitt! Kywitt! ...
