Capital Inicial, a Brazilian rock band from Brasília, was formed in 1982 by Fê
Lemos, Flávio Lemos, Dinho Ouro Preto, and Loro Jones. The group emerged from
the remnants of Renato Russo's pioneering post-punk band Aborto Elétrico.
Capital Inicial's first performance in Rio de Janeiro was on July 23, 1983,
opening for Lobão at Circo Voador. Their debut single "Descendo o Rio Nilo" and
"Leve Desespero" were released in 1984. The band's self-titled debut album,
