Cándido Fabré, born in September 1957 in San Luis, Santiago de Cuba. He began
his music career in 1983 as a singer for Original de Manzanillo, contributing to
arrangements and compositions until his departure in 1993. After leaving the
group, Fabré formed his own band, increasing his popularity both in Cuba and
internationally. Notable albums include Son De Cuba (1996), Poquito a Poco
(1998), La Habana quiere guarachar contigo (2000), Cubano Soy (2007), and
Carretero (2015). Fabré also received numerous awards, including the Distinción
