Candee Jay
Candee Jay, a Dutch Eurodance group fronted by lead singer Ilze Lankhaar, was
formed in the Netherlands. Lankhaar began her career as a professional model and
graduated from Lucia Marthas Dance Academy before becoming the lead vocalist for
Candee Jay. The group, produced by Alice Deejay producers Eelke Kalberg and
Sebastiaan 'DJ Pronti' Molijn, aimed to replicate the success of Alice Deejay
with Lankhaar joined by Jezebel Zwiers and Elske Cinibulk as background dancers.
Candee Jay's breakthrough came with their debut single "If I Were You", which
reached number 14 in the UK chart...
