Cage is an American rapper born in 1973 in Würzburg, West Germany. Born Christian Palko, he was raised in Middletown, New York. He began his career after spending 16 months in the Stony Lodge psychiatric hospital, an experience he frequently referenced in his lyrics. Palko released his first demo mixtape in 1994 as a member of the group Mudbones. He achieved recognition in the New York underground scene through appearances on Bobbito García's radio program.
