C-Bo is an American rapper from Sacramento, California. Born Shawn Thomas in 1971, he was raised in the Meadowview neighborhood and became a member of the Garden Blocc Crips. He began his recording career in 1991 and released his debut studio album, Gas Chamber, in 1993. His early recordings, including the EP “The Autopsy” (1994) and the album Tales from the Crypt (1995), featured morbid themes associated with the horrorcore genre.
