BulletBoys were formed in Los Angeles in 1987 by Marq Torien (vocals), Mick
Sweda (guitar), Lonnie Vencent (bass), and Jimmy D’Anda (drums), with roots in
the local hard-rock circuit and a fast jump to a Warner Bros. deal. Their debut,
BulletBoys (1988), was produced by Ted Templeman and broke through with the
slick-but-rowdy singles "Smooth Up in Ya" and their cover of "For the Love of
Money," helping the album earn a U.S. gold certification. They followed with
