Budka Suflera, a Polish rock band, was founded in Lublin in 1969 by Krzysztof
Cugowski. The initial lineup performed cover versions of international artists
before disbanding after a few recordings and concerts. In 1974, Cugowski and
Romuald Lipko reformed the band with Andrzej Ziółkowski joining them. Their
first major recording was "Sen o dolinie", a Polish cover of Bill Withers'
"Ain't No Sunshine", which received significant airplay and led to an offer from
