Buddy Morrow

Buddy Morrow, born Muni Zudekoff on February 8, 1919 in New Haven, Connecticut, was an American trombonist and bandleader. After a scholarship at age 16, he studied trombone at Juilliard with Ernest Horatio Clarke and joined Sharkey Bonano’s Sharks of Rhythm before playing with Eddie Duchin, Vincent Lopez, and Artie Shaw. Morrow’s breakthrough came in 1938 when he joined the Tommy Dorsey band. He later recorded "Night Train" with his own band, reaching number 12 on the UK Singles Chart in March 1953.
