Alexander Buckley "Buck" Meek, born July 10 1987 in Wimberley, Texas, is a
guitarist, songwriter, and singer who first gained attention in the early 2010s.
After studying at Berklee College of Music, Buck Meek moved to New York City,
busking on 14th Street to support himself, and in 2014 released the EPs A‑Sides
and B‑Sides with Adrianne Lenker. He co‑founded Big Thief in 2015, contributing
to five critically acclaimed albums, including U.F.O.F., which earned a Grammy
