Breakestra
Breakestra is a funk music group from Los Angeles, California formed in 1996 by
Miles Tackett. The group’s first breakthrough came with the release of their 7"
single "Getcho Soul Togetha" on Stones Throw Records, followed by the album Hit
the Floor in 2005, which showcased original funk tracks mixed with live
breakbeats. In 2009, the group issued Dusk Till Dawn. The band collaborated with
artists such as Cut Chemist and Peanut Butter Wolf.
