Brave Combo, a polka rock band based in Denton, Texas, was founded in 1979 by
guitarist/keyboardist/accordionist Carl Finch. The group's music blends original
compositions and covers with various dance styles, primarily polka, but also
incorporating Latin American and Caribbean influences such as norteño, salsa,
rumba, cha-cha-cha, choro, samba, two-step, cumbia, charanga, merengue, and ska,
all performed with a rock/worldbeat energy. Their debut release was the album
