Brad Laner, born November 6, 1966, in Los Angeles, California, is an American
musician and producer who began performing with the band Debt of Nature at age
15. He later formed Steaming Coils and joined Savage Republic, contributing to
two albums before founding the shoegaze group Medicine in 1990. Medicine
released Shot Forth Self Living in 1992, followed by The Buried Life (1993) and
Her Highness (1995); the group disbanded in 1995, briefly reuniting in 2003.
Laner launched the electronic project Electric Company in 1995, issuing ten
