Brad, an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1992, comprised
vocalist Shawn Smith, guitarist Stone Gossard, bassist Jeremy Toback, and
drummer Regan Hagar. The group initially intended to name themselves Shame but
adopted Brad after discovering the name was already in use, and released their
debut album Shame on April 27, 1993, through Epic Records; the single "20th
Century" achieved modest chart placement in the United Kingdom. In 1997 the band
