Boy, a Canadian indie pop band, began as the solo project of Stephen Kozmeniuk
in Whitehorse, Yukon. In 2002, Kozmeniuk recorded his first album Boy using Pro
Tools in his bedroom. The album was re-released in 2003 after he signed with
Bumstead Records, and he toured nationally, opening for artists such as Sam
Roberts, 54-40, and Broken Social Scene. In 2004, Boy expanded into a five-man
band with new members James Robertson, Maurie Kaufmann, Steve Payne, and Rolla
