Boulevard, formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 1983 by saxophonist and vocalist Mark
Holden, emerged from the local studio scene that Mark Holden had cultivated with
Thunder Road Studio. The group’s first commercial breakthrough came with the
1984 single "Rainy Day in London", which peaked at Number 45 on the German,
Swiss, and Austrian charts, and was accompanied by a promotional video shot in
Germany. In 1988 the band signed with MCA Records and released their debut album
