Boom Boom Satellites, a Japanese electronic music duo consisting of guitarist
and vocalist Michiyuki Kawashima and bassist and programmer Masayuki Nakano,
formed in 1990 after meeting at university. They debuted in Europe as a rock
unit in 1997, with their first single released by Belgian record company R&S
Records later that year. The duo's music gained early recognition when they were
featured in the European magazine Melody Maker, where they were compared to The
