Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins on June 8, 1951, in Skewen, Neath, Wales)
began singing while working as a flight attendant and later joined the touring
group of Johnnie Walker as a backing vocalist. Her breakthrough came with the
1977 single "It's a Heartache", which entered the UK charts and established her
as a potent rock vocalist. Bonnie Tyler signed with the London label EMI,
releasing her debut album The World Starts Tonight in 1977, followed by Natural
