Justin Vernon is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born as Justin
DeYarmond Edison Vernon on 30 April 1981 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He achieved
professional recognition as the founder of the indie folk ensemble Bon Iver
(2006). After the end of the ensemble DeYarmond Edison, he recorded the debut
studio recording For Emma, Forever Ago (2007) while isolated in a cabin. The
recording reached number 64 in the United States and number 42 in the United
Kingdom. Vernon achieved professional recognition for the track “Skinny Love”
(2008) which reached number 21 in Australia....
