Robert Glynn Luman (born 15 April 1937 in Blackjack, Texas) was an American
country and rockabilly singer, songwriter and guitarist whose career spanned the
late 1950s and 1960s. After receiving his first guitar at age 13, he formed a
high‑school band in Kilgore and later joined the Shadows, featuring guitarist
James Burton; the group signed with Imperial Records in 1957 and released "All
Night Long" and "Amarillo Blues". A 1956 talent contest victory brought Luman to
