Blue Tears was an American hard rock band from Henderson, Tennessee. The group
formed in 1982 with Gregg Fulkerson on lead guitar and Mike Spears on bass,
along with Bryan Hall on rhythm guitar and Phil Jones. Initially known as
Misfit, the band underwent several name changes such as Sahara and NonStop
before settling on Blue Tears. Their first official recording was "Stay With
Me", which received significant regional airplay. In 1989, they signed a
contract with MCA Records and released their debut self-titled album Blue Tears
