Blockheads, a French grindcore band from Nancy, Lorraine, was formed in 1989.
The group released their first demo, Haaashaastaak, in 1993 and followed it with
their debut studio album, Last Tribes, in 1995. Blockheads gained traction
through extensive touring, sharing the stage with notable acts such as Napalm
Death and Entombed. Their second album, Watch Out, was released in 1998. In
2006, they released their fourth studio album, Shapes of Misery. They signed
with Relapse Records in July 2012 and released their fifth studio album, This
