Biggi Vinkeloe, born on March 8, 1956, in Germany, is a Swedish musician,
saxophonist, flutist, and composer known for her work in creative jazz and
improvisational music. She began classical music training at six and started
improvising during school. Vinkeloe studied in France from 1974 to 1988,
performing with André Jaume, Jacques Veillé, and Alain Rellay. Her international
breakthrough came in 1988 with an ensemble featuring Cecil Taylor in Berlin.
Notable collaborations include work with Barre Phillips, Peter Kowald, Peeter
