Big Boss
Jiří Valter, born in Brno, Czechoslovakia, on February 6, 1952, better known by
his stage name Big Boss, is a Czech metal vocalist, drummer, and lyricist.
Valter began his musical career as a blues singer before transitioning to hard
rock and heavy metal. In late 1987, he co-founded the Czech black metal band
Root, releasing the single “7 černých jezdců / 666” in 1990 and studio albums
including Zjevení in 1990 and Hell Symphony in 1991. In 2002, he launched the
progressive metal project Equirhodont, releasing the album Grandiose Magus in
