Beogradski Sindikat, a Serbian hip-hop collective from Belgrade, was formed on
March 21, 1999. The group initially consisted of members from two underground
bands, Red Zmaja and TUMZ, along with solo artists MC Flex and Šef Sale.
Beogradski Sindikat was known for its socially critical lyrics addressing
political corruption and governance issues in Serbia and the Balkans and
performed in prisons and detention centers throughout Serbia. Their debut album
BSSST... Tišinčina (2001) marked the beginning of the second wave of Serbian
