Bennett Friedman is an American jazz tenor saxophonist and educator. He attended
Berkeley High School, Berklee College of Music in Boston, and San Francisco
State University, earning a Master's Degree in Music (performance). Friedman
directed the San Francisco State University Jazz Ensembles for eight years and
began teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College in 1977. He performed at notable
festivals such as the Healdsburg Jazz Festival, Kuumba Jazz Center in Santa
