Ben Caplan
Ben Caplan is a Canadian folk musician from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He began
playing guitar at 13 and started his independent career at 19. His releases
include the albums Birds with Broken Wings (2015), Old Stock (2018),
Recollection (2021), and The Flood (2025). Caplan toured extensively across
Canada, Europe, and performed at festivals such as South by Southwest,
Glastonbury, and Byron Bay Bluesfest. He earned multiple awards, including Roots
Recording of the Year, and was nominated for SOCAN Songwriter of the Year and
Folk Recording of the Year.
