Being as an Ocean is an American melodic hardcore and post-hardcore band from Alpine, California, that formed in 2011. The ensemble was founded by the vocalist Joel Quartuccio, the guitarists Tyler Ross and Jacob Prest, the bassist Ralph Sica, and the drummer Shad Hamawe. Their debut studio album, Dear G–d..., was released (2012) through InVogue Records and reached number 27 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
