American siblings BeBe Winans and CeCe Winans entered the gospel and
contemporary R&B scene as part of the extensive Winans family. Their first
public appearance was in 1982 as members of The PTL Singers on the Christian
television show The PTL Club, where they recorded the duo debut Lord Lift Us Up
for PTL Records. After leaving the group in 1987, they signed with Sparrow
Records and released the self‑titled BeBe & CeCe Winans in 1987, producing the
