Bear in Heaven was an American indie rock band from New York City, formed by Jon Philpot in 2003. The band's sound incorporated influences from psychedelic music, electronic music, and krautrock. Their first release, Tunes Nextdoor to Songs, was an EP of solo recordings by Philpot with guest musicians, issued in 2004. Bear in Heaven's debut full-length album, Red Bloom of the Boom, was released in 2007.
