Beatrix Fowler (performing as BARR; born March 24, 1978) is an American indie
rock musician and multi-disciplinary artist from Berkeley, California. Fowler
moved to Maryland as a child and later graduated from Sarah Lawrence College.
While living in New York City, Fowler performed solo music under the name BARR
before relocating to Los Angeles in 2002. Fowler also performed in the ensemble
The New England Roses alongside JD Samson. Fowler signed with the label Kill
Rock Stars and released the solo albums What Would the Second BARR (2004),
Beyond Reinforced Jewel Case (2005), and ...
