Barnes & Barnes, an American musical duo, formed in Los Angeles in 1970 by actor
Bill Mumy and Robert Haimer. Initially a home recording project, their
breakthrough came in 1978 with the radio debut of "Fish Heads" on The Dr.
Demento Show. The duo adopted the personae of Art Barnes and Artie Barnes from
the fictional civilization of Lumania. Their album, Voobaha, was released in
1980. Notable songs include "Boogie Woogie Amputee". Throughout their career,
Barnes & Barnes released numerous albums, including Amazing Adult Fantasy (1984)
and compilations like Yeah: The Essential Bar...
