Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 10, 1959, singer, songwriter, producer,
and label exec Kenneth Edmonds is better known by his stage name, Babyface.
Since the late 1980s, he has bee is one of the most influential figures in
modern R&B, a jack of all trades whose work has defined the sound of
contemporary soul for over four decades. However, his career began in the late
1970s as a member of Indianapolis funk group Manchild. Moving to Cincinnati,
