Baby Rose, born Jasmine Rose Wilson on August 5, 1994, in Washington, D.C., grew up between Washington, D.C. and Fayetteville, North Carolina before settling in Atlanta. Given a piano as a child, she began writing and recording early, developing a deep contralto voice shaped by soul, gospel, jazz, and classic R&B. After early independent releases, the 2017 project From Dusk ’til Dawn introduced her intimate songwriting and drew attention from artists including J. Cole and SZA.
