Babe was a Dutch pop group formed in 1979 by Peter Koelewijn. Their initial
lineup consisted of Gemma van Eck, Rita van Rooy, and Monique Hagemeyer. Babe
released their first singles "Please Me, Please Do" (1979) and "(Never Listen to
a) Bouzouki Player" (1979). In 1980, Hagemeyer was replaced by Margot van der
Ven, and van Eck left the group in 1981, with Marga Bult joining as a
replacement. Their lineup released several albums including Babe (1980),
