Aurra
Aurra were an American soul musical group formed in 1979, originating as a
spin-off of the funk band Slave. The initial line-up included Steve Washington,
Curt Jones, Starleana Young, and Thomas Lockett. Aurra signed with Dream Records
before moving to Salsoul Records, where they achieved notable success. Their
debut album Send Your Love was released in 1981, featuring hits such as "Are You
Single?", which reached number 16 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs
