Aupinard, whose real name is Frédéric Yoan Opina, is a French singer, songwriter
and composer born in Bordeaux on December 15, 2001. Of Congolese origin, he
discovered the guitar at the age of 12 and was introduced to bossa nova by
listening to João Gilberto, a major influence on his musical style. His
pseudonym is a contraction of his surname and the word "pinard", in reference to
Bordeaux wine. He adopted this nickname, given to him by a friend during his
