Akifumi Nakajima, known professionally as Aube, was born on January 13, 1959, in
Kyoto, Japan. He initially worked as an industrial designer before focusing on
sound work in the 1980s. In 1993, he created music for an art installation,
launching his career in electronic music. Aube's early releases, such as the EP
Hydrophobia (1991) and album Flood-Gate (1993), utilized unique sound sources
