Aseel Hameem
Aseel Karim Hameem, born on October 6, 1984 in Iraq, is a singer. She began her
professional career at age 22 and released her first solo song "Balani Zamani"
shortly after participating in the Arab Stars program on MBC 1 with the Arab
Mashreq team. Her debut album المفروض was released in 2002. Her song "Ser Al
Hayat" became the most streamed song on a video streaming platform by a female
Arab artist in August 2020, with over 255 million views. Hameem has also voiced
theme songs for multiple Arabic TV series, including Shara Alnufus (2008) and
Hawa Baghdad (2019).
