Arthur Brown
Arthur Brown, born 24 June 1942 in Whitby, North Riding of Yorkshire, is an
English singer, songwriter known for his theatrical stage persona and operatic
voice. After studying philosophy and law at the University of London and the
University of Reading, he formed Blues and Brown while at Reading, then moved to
London and Paris to refine his theatrical skills. His breakthrough came with the
1968 album The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, which reached number 2 in the United
Kingdom and produced the single "Fire", topping the United Kingdom and Canadian
charts and peaking at number 2 ...
