Armando Francisco Punturero, known professionally as Armando Pontier, and born
on August 29, 1917, in Zárate, Argentina, was a tando musician, composer, and
bandoneon player. He began his career playing in various orchestras from a young
age. In September 1945, he debuted with an orchestra co-directed by Enrique
Mario Francini at the Tango Bar. This collaboration lasted ten years until
Pontier launched his own orchestra in 1955, featuring notable musicians such as
