Armando Francisco Punturero, known professionally as Armando Pontier, and born on August 29, 1917, in Zárate, Argentina, was a tando musician, composer, and bandoneon player. He began his career playing in various orchestras from a young age. In September 1945, he debuted with an orchestra co-directed by Enrique Mario Francini at the Tango Bar. This collaboration lasted ten years until Pontier launched his own orchestra in 1955, featuring notable musicians such as Julio Sosa and Roberto Florio.
