Argyle Goolsby
Steve Matthews, known professionally as Argyle Goolsby, was born on September
15, 1978 in Bluefield, West Virginia. He began his music career in 1997 with the
punk rock band Blitzkid, co-founded with lead guitarist T.B. Monstrosity (Tracy
Byrd). The band drew inspiration from horror movies and became part of the
horror punk subgenre. Between 1997 and 2012, Goolsby recorded seven studio
albums with Blitzkid, including Let Flowers Die (2001), and several split EPs.
